Education
The Challenge
Years of conflict have prevented many Afghans from obtaining formal education, leading to an education gap that deprives Afghan youth of the skills and critical reasoning needed to contribute to their families, communities, and country. This gap is perpetuated by parents who are unable to help their children learn.
Our Response
AfgCharity, with the help of generous donors, implements educational initiatives to address the education gap in Afghanistan. These initiatives serve vulnerable groups such as orphans and refugees. Examples include the Faryab Orphanage and Learning Center, Tahya Maskan Orphanage and Learning Center refurbishment, and Chill Dokhtaran School reconstruction. AfgCharity also supports post-secondary educational redevelopment, such as the American University of Afghanistan reconstruction and Bayat Institute of Technology establishment.
